2009
Bow Qualifications and 3-D Target Shooting. The Dayton Rod
& Gun Club provides archery qualification services for the State of Maryland, Howard County, Montgomery County, and
other managed hunting programs that require bowhunter performance certification. The club also makes its elevated
platform available for archery practice in a safe, natural setting.

Practice on our two level elevated
shooting platform (9 ft and 14 ft) set in a wooded environment, on any of the qualification dates listed below. Cost
is just $5 to shoot as much as you want at 3D deer, bear, pigs and turkeys.

Archery
Qualification Rules and Dates State Requirements: Archer must place arrow shaft within the outlined “vitals” area of each
of three 3D deer targets positioned from 10 to 25 yds away, using only five arrows. Arrows must be equipped with broadheads. Archer
can shoot from elevated platform or from the ground. Cost:
The Club charges a fee of $5.00 per qualifying
attempt, for use in buying replacement targets. . County
Requirements: Archer must place arrow shaft within the marked six inch circular area on each of three 3D deer targets
positioned from 10 to 27 yds away, using only four arrows. Arrows must be equipped with broadheads. Archer must
shoot from elevated platform, while wearing a full-body safety harness (provided). Only one qualifying attempt per day
is allowed. Cost: The
Club charges a fee of $5.00 per qualifying attempt, for use in buying replacement targets. .
